AIS, Inc. provides generous benefits to its employees. Employees are entitled to benefits after they have been employed for 30 days. For new observers, the 30 day waiting period begins the first day of training when they become AIS, Inc. employees.
Vacation- 10 vacation days to start. Vacation starts accruing on the first day of work and accrues each pay period.
Holidays- 10 paid holidays each year. If at sea on a holiday, observers get paid for both the sea day and the holiday (at their Land Hour rate).
Sick Days- 4 sick days the first year of employment. Six days each year after the first.
Health Insurance- AIS currently contributes 80%, employee contributes 20% of monthly premiums.
Dental Insurance- AIS currently contributes 80%, employee contributes 20% of monthly premiums.
Vision Insurance- AIS covers 100% of premiums.
401k - Employee-only contributed retirement savings plan.
Profit Sharing Plan- Employees become 20% vested after 3 years, then are vested an additional 20% each year until they are 100% vested in year seven.
Health Club Plan- Employees living near Healthtrax gyms are given free membership. Those not near a Healthtrax can be reimbursed up to $20 a month for health club membership. |
